Our district nursing team, headed by Shona Middleton and Lorna Coull, provide skilled traditional nursing care in the home for those patients unable to travel to the surgery.
They offer advice and support to carers and their families. In addition they can take blood samples, carry out continence assessments, and arrange for the provision of certain aids and appliances.
The district nurses can be contacted on 01382 530919.
Health visitors Pamela Dempster, Ann Cameron, Clare Wishart are based at Parkview Primary Care Centre (Carnoustie), with a satellite clinic here at the practice. They work alongside the doctors and nurses with special responsibility for health promotion, particularly in children.
Our health visitors also offer special help in adults and children’s sleep problems, weight problems, anxiety management, and smoke cessation services. They can also help with trained counselling services, and information and advice relating to care in the community.
The health visitors can be contacted on 01241 802378.
The Chiropodist is available by appointment to priority groups only, for example, diabetics, children, and patients of retirement age.
Appointments can be made with this service by calling the Westgate Centre, Dundee, on 01382 647461.
We constantly strive to improve the range and quality available to our patients. In addition to those provided by the practice team, other clinics provided within the health centre currently include speech therapy, antenatal, child psychology, and adult psychology and counselling though this list is subject to revision periodically.
